"Scott: It was a pleasure speaking with you today. I have been remiss in not posting a review sooner but it is my pleasure to correct that. Scott has been my insurance agent for both home and auto for well over a decade. I've always been happy with their service, but never so much so as year before last. Like many others, my house suffered damage when the derecho went through this area in May of 2024. I had never experienced an event like this so I had a lot of fear and anxiety about the condition of my home, and how dealing with the insurance company was going to go. One call to Scott got the ball rolling, and I never had to reach out again. I was quickly offered alternate living arrangements which were, fortunately, not needed as I had other options. I was promptly contacted by someone would be handling my claim. I was also contacted by the appraiser, and arranged an appointment where he made a through inspection of the damage. He also told me that my agent had written the policy very well in terms of ensuring both structures on the property had adequate coverage. That, folks, is why you want a knowledgeable agent writing your policy! I don't exactly recall but it seems the claim was paid well before my contractor was able to begin work, with a small amount placed in escrow for work to be done outside my contractor. While it wasn't fun by any means, I feel it couldn't have gone any better. I had people responsive to my needs, who were ready to answer any question or solve any issue within their capacity. I don't know what more you could ask for in an insurance company. I must confess that looking at my new carpet and drapes, and just how awesome my living room looks now, a tiny part of me is glad it happened. That'll be our little secret."
